An old shrine said to be originally of a
guardian god of fishermen. It has many worshippers
in southern Osaka. It stands next door on
the north to Ebisu Shrine, but it is not
known when it was built. A stingray is worshipped
here as a divine messenger.
Lately there is a festival on 2 and 3 August
in the compound of Ebisu Shrine next door.
It is called " Kid's Ebisu ".
The god of shrine is a god of wisdom and
power. And visitors offer two sorts of picture
tables. One is a tablet of a stingray said
to keep you from illness and plague. The
other one is a tablet of the shrine god on
a stingray said to give you a lot of wisdom.
